What does कृतकबुद्धिः mean in the new Class 9 Sharada book?

कृतकबुद्धिः literally means 'made/created intelligence' — it is the Sanskrit term the new NCERT Class 9 book Sharada uses for Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The chapter title एषा सा कृतकबुद्धिः मानवबुद्धेः सहकरी means 'this Artificial Intelligence is a helper (सहकरी) of human intelligence'. The lesson explains that AI can compute and assist powerfully, but it is meant to support human judgement, ethics and creativity — not replace them. It's a great example of NEP 2020's idea of teaching modern topics through Sanskrit.
